Grove Tea Lounge - Coffee Shop in Midland Michigan
My friend Lori and I popped into Grove Tea Lounge after having lunch at Crepes Et Amis (yummy crepes-you can get breakfast plus savory or sweet).
At Grove Tea Lounge I requested iced Chai Tea with almond milk and she got hot chai tea with coconut milk. So delicious!
We love the upscale atmosphere at Grove Tea Lounge and there are comfy places to sit and chat plus tables to work and have a beverage or snack.
Plus the lighting was really nice! There were several large windows which is great to boost your mood! I love good lighting so I felt it was worth mentioning!
Creation Coffee Company-Bright and Cheery Café in Midland Michigan!
So...I stopped into Creation Coffee on Ashman Street in Midland Michigan today. This bright and airy Michigan coffee shop opened in November 2020 by two Northwood University graduates.
Since I'm nosy, I asked, "what made you open your own shop?"
And the answer?
"We just wanted a great cup of coffee." Well, there you have it...you just need a moment inspiration to start your own business!
I felt like a dork as I ordered which I said, "I'd like an iced chai tea. Oh, and I want it cold." Well, duh, that's what iced is. The friendly barista laughed out loud at that comment.
What can ya do.
My chai was so super tasty so I'll be back...just like Arnold.

This super comfy couch welcomes you the instant you enter this homey, peaceful coffee shop with large windows and cheerful greenery. I was gravitating toward it immediately!
- So let's wander in, grab some coffee, get comfortable and have a chat!
I'm slowly learning all about coffee (you mean there's more than Folgers?) as I venture into this coffee shop world. I'm ok admitting I know very little about what I'm ordering...what I really mean is, I know nothing.
So today I decided to go all out with my deer in the headlights approach at the counter.

I sashayed up to the counter and announced, "I need something fancy." I wore a dress, so it makes perfect sense, right?
The sweet manager of The Loch Coffee Company blinks and says, "I can make you something hot, what would you like?" (as she points to the board).
In response, I have a wide eyed "I no idea what to order" stare so she says, "I'll make you a fancy latte" and immediately gets to work.
So, can you believe this is my very first latte ever? I mean, EVER? I was so giddy that I had to watch it being made. She patiently explained how the frother heated the milk and added air. Pretty cool device.
It was all fascinating to me. I love seeing how things are made. So I asked her if it was cool if I took photos and she says, "good thing I wore my floral pants!" lol!
Ever wonder how they make the cool flowers and decorations on the top of the lattes?
And behold! My beautiful latte! Isn't it a beauty?
Interesting story on this lovely long table:
After the owners had it custom made, they decided to cut out the center for their collection of tiny cactuses. The little guys needed a home, why not create a cozy spot where they could get attention all day long?

From the moment I first stepped into the coffee shop, I felt comfortable. Like I could truly relax in the space as it felt like home.
There are so many cute and cozy nooks to read and enjoy your coffee. So be like Goldilocks and find the cozy space that's juuuuust perfect for you!
I love their outside mural so much! It's so colorful and happy, I just had to have a cheesy grin in front of it!
So are you wondering what on earth I'm drinking? So pretty, isn't it? I asked the barista for something bright and fun. She suggested an Indigo Punch + Lemonade and I said, "Let's do it! Oh, and put it in a fun glass, please!"
What's an Indigo Punch + Lemonade? Well, it's a very neat drink that changes colors as you swirl the lemonade! It's made with an herbal tea that definitely quenches your thirst!
