So, I'm not kidding when I say I eat this Green Spinach Smoothie about 5 days a week. It's my morning staple as it's jam packed with nutrients and hydration with no added sugars and is dairy free.
I developed this recipe over the past few months and it makes me feel alert, strong and full for hours.
Plus I FEEL GOOD and not bloated.

I've been known to bring a portable blender on road trips so I can make my healthy green smoothie. I can't digest most greasy and sugary restaurant breakfasts so I rarely if ever eat breakfast out.
By the way, if you bring a big pack of oatmeal and seeds in your carry on luggage, your bag will be inspected as it appears to be a solid matter. But it will pass through ok.

How to Grind Your Seeds For Smoothies and Bread
This recipe includes three different types of seeds and I highly recommend grinding them to aid in digestion and prevent stomach bloat and upset...that lasts for DAYS (sigh...personal experience).
How do I grind seeds? With a coffee grinder! Since I grind my own oatmeal anyway, I measure 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1/4 c. mixed seeds (hemp, chia and flax).
I put the oatmeal in the coffee grinder first, then pour in the seeds. This is very important as the seeds tend to gum up the blade if put in the coffee grinder first or ground by themselves.
Then grind the crap out of them.

Note: This smoothie is very hydrating. I like a TON of water in the morning to get moving. Feel free to reduce it. This is how I make mine, you can add, subtract, whatever sounds good.
Always pour the water in the blender first. Then add all your ingredients and blend the crap out of it. (Very technical directions, I know)
